Keeping it tight!

Hello again!

So now I am finally writing about something new...
...I recently found the strength to go to my gym (McFit Münster (Westf.)), when I found out:

They renovated it!

It looks so NICE in there now. Before it was not only a pretty cheap gym, it also looked like one!
Now we're talking about dark wooden floors (at least they look like they're made of wood), new lockers you can lock with your member card, new showers (although I prefer showering at home, for I only live max. 10 minutes away from my gym), new restrooms, new gym equipment... everything is NEW!

And there was something essentially new... the cybertraining rooms!

Cybertraining is a pretty innovative concept McFit introduces to it's gyms little by little, where the trainer of the course is only shown on a screen and you're basically watching a video on how to do the exercise and you are supposed to follow right away, like in a "real" course.

One of the rooms is for spinning and the other one is filled with 5 Power Plates.

The first time I tried a course, I chose "Interval Spinning Basic".
this is what you are supposed to look like while in your spinning course... not me!

Usually a course takes about 30 minutes, so I thought that would give me a good impression of what is going on there...
...but I was mistaken. I chose the ONLY course which takes about 1h and after 15 minutes I was already like I want to fall off my bike and just lie on the floor and relax.

The intervall spinning is SO DEMANDING... too demanding if you are just coming back from a gym-draught if you ask me.

However, if you want to keep your metabolism on the go, then do that. You're going to sweat like you've never sweat before!

Power Plates!

Yesterday, I went to the gym once again (after I regained my strength I used up in the interval spinning course) and was 25 minutes on the stepper before I went to the room with the Power Plates.

A Power Plate is a fitness device, that basically vibrates in different amplitudes while you do your exercises on it.

There I did a "Abs, Legs and Buns - Basic" course, which was pretty easy!
That's why I spontaneously joined the "Sixpack - Basic" course right after the ALB, but the exercises were mostly similar to the ALB ones, but had a back massage at the end!

After that, I still didn't notice any sore body parts, but I was already 1 1/2 hours in the gym, so I decided to go home...

...this morning I noticed what's really going on!
My back is sore, the back of my thighs is sore, and the sides of my stomach ache, too!

So, I guess it really IS an effective workout!
A girl I got to know there told us (3 girls and I met while waiting for the course to start), that doing exercises on the Power Plate is 10x as effective than doing it regularly with the gym equipment.

I guess that's right, for every course takes only about 30 minutes (rather 20) and still: you notice that you've done something!

So I can highly recommend you to do Power Plate courses, they are fun, not time intensive, at the end of my courses we always had the chance to massage our legs and back with the Power Plate, and you have really done something for your body! :-)

Keep it tight! Hahaha

Fashion's Night Out NYC 9-6-2012

Fashion's Night Out is a huge event hosted in many different fashion metropoles all over the world.
This year I had the possibility to take part of it in New York City!

In general most of the stores are opened longer and host special events with special guests.
For example: Alessandra Ambrosio visited a Victoria's Secret Store in NYC, or Diane von Fürstenberg showed up in her store (or Barney's, I'm not sure anymore..), or Big-Booty-Kim Kardashian showed up in Lord&Taylor on 5th Avenue.

That's where I met Tsetsgee, my uncle's fiancée, and we enjoyed the photo booth (sorry, I won't show the picture, for I personally look really UGLY and not myself on the picture hahaha) and free drinks and a glimpse through my phone on Kim Kardashian - close enough - who hosted a meet and greet at L&T.
Nice, huh? You only had to purchase her 123$ perfume set (with two damn stinking perfumes) in order to be allowed to get in line for the meet and greet.

Otherwise there were the designers of Project Runway and also the winner, who all presented their collection and designed free souvenir t-shirts for the people who waited in line (probably about 1h wait).

Afterwards we went to SoHo, and there we went in L'OCCITANE, where they also offered free drinks and then we went on to CLUB MONACO, to see what special offers they had for FNO!

Enjoy the pictures!

don't know her, but she was some popular person...

The winner of Project Runway

Other contestants of Project Runway

Blame it on the goose...
She likes big butts and she cannot lie! And also she can charge 123$ from poor teenagers to meet them for what? 5 seconds?

This was ONE side (of 3) where people were fighting for a picture of Miss Fat Booty.

Y-3 Fashionshow!

Sorry guys, I have been so caught up with studying, I didn't even have the time to complete my entries from my time in New York :-(
Now I will probably post this post here (obviously!) and then another one about Fashion Night Out :-)

- Here's a video I shot while watching the Y-3 show!-

On 9/9/12 my friend Pedro from Barcelona invited me to watch the Y-3 Fashionshow by Yoshji Yamamoto.

I met him really late, and the sun was burning (that was the first time I thought I would faint!) and we first watched the show before we got the chance to talk.
It was so good to see him again!
Afterwards we went to the pier and took some photos there of the beautiful sundown.

It was really impressive to see the show, and at the same time you are like "They worked so HARD for those 10 minutes?!"
But that is just fashion industry!

So stay tuned for the post about Fashion Night out!
